Five of the best UK cycling cafes

Being out and about on your bike is always wonderful, but what about those times when you need a moment of rest and relaxation? Cycle cafes have boomed recently in the UK, offering the perfect place to meet other cyclists, get repairs done and enjoy a delicious coffee with friends. Here are our favourites.
Look Mum No Hands! Old Street, East London
In this ever-trendy corner of East London you will find the wonderfully named Look Mum No Hands!, a cafe-bar which is fast becoming the destination of choice for discerning cyclists. You can relax with a cuppa, enjoy a pint of local craft beer, attend their regular maintenance courses and watch major cycle races on the big screen.

Zappi's Bike Cafe, Oxford
This famous university city has long been synonymous with cycling, so it's fitting that it has its own dedicated cycling cafe. Based above a bicycle shop, this cosy little place is decorated with cycling memorabilia and is the home of ex-pro cyclist Flavio Zappi's cycling club.

Popup Bikes, Manchester
Popup Bikes is definitely the real deal: they offer indoor cycle parking for an impressive 100 bikes and are open 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. They have a bicycle repair shop, as well as direct trade coffee and delicious cakes.

Ronde, Edinburgh
Based close to the Scottish capitals centre, Ronde pretty much has it all. It sells bikes, clothing and accessories, has a workshop offering services and repairs, has an exhibition space with cycling photography and prints, and is rightly proud of the coffee it serves from local artisan roasters.

FCP Coffee, Bristol
Whilst not technically a cycling cafe, FCP Coffee is a favourite stop off for cyclists who are serious about their coffee. They serve speciality coffee with care and attention, and you won't find a better cuppa anywhere else.
